The basic principles of Scientology
The word Scientology: the study of truth and stems from two words: the Latin word, "Scio" which means "to know the full sense of the word" and the Greek word "logos" which means "study".
This study relatively new religion of the spirit (or Thetan that Scientologists call) and its relationship with all other life forms around him. The main advantage conversion to Scientology is a state of "Clear", which lead to complete harmony with everything around you. Here below a certain number of truths cited in the study of Scientology, in particular the two following:
1. The man is an immortal spiritual being, and whose existence goes beyond a single lifetime. Capacity rights are unlimited (although well hidden). Through the study of Scientology, he can realize these capabilities to solve their own problems, to achieve lasting happiness and achieve a new state of consciousness and higher capacity.
2. While studying Scientology, no one asked to accept anything on faith or faith alone. "This which is true for you is what you have observed to be true. "People learn that Scientology works by personally applying its principles and has Therefore the results.
According to Scientology, there are three parts to man, Mind, and Body Thetan. Thetan (from the letter Greek "Theta" which means "thought") is also known as the spirit that is the individual himself. The mind is the Thetan ship uses to communicate with the environment around him, while the body bares little importance. It is simply a vehicle which lies Thetan.
Religion has been created by American Science Fiction writer, L. Ron Hubbard in the late 1950s. Born in 1911 in Nebraska, Hubbard published a book called Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health in which he claims to have isolated the "dynamic principle of existence." The book is so important and central to the theory of Scientology believers not only has called "Book One", but they have created their own calendar based on the date of publication of the book. 2008, for example, is regarded as 58AD, 58 after Dianetics.
The word Dianetics, apparently translated "through the spirit." Hubbard wrote: "mental and psychometric physical problems are caused by traumatic records that are stored in the reactive mind. "The goal of Dianetics is to eradicate these recordings trauma and achieve a state of "Clear." Achieving "Clear" also allows the individual to achieve their full potential and, indeed, control MEST (matter, energy, space and time).
Unsurprisingly, Dianetics, his thoughts and practices reviewed in many of the scientific community and has been dubbed "pseudo-science." Pseudoscience lack plausibility and adheres not the scientific method. Martin Gardner refers to religion in his second book, fads and realities in the name of science as the fact German writer, Robert Kaufman in his works, within Scientology.
Kaufman wrote in his message to the author, The Church of Scientology is "a strong, hydra-headed international organization that money extracts and services of its members through to control their minds and pocketbooks. " He continued to say it [Scientology] "uses Dianetics to attract raw meat (non-Scientologists) in his machine of thought control. "
Kaufman has a certain amount of weight during the consideration of religion, as it was once a member. When we speak against Scientology, he (like many others) have met the wrath of Scientology power. His shows were canceled at any time and his publisher has been destroyed by a hate campaign of theft, forgery and letters from the pen.
The most extreme action against a critic involved eight month trial law and various attempts to see the lady put in a mental institution. Scientologists have argued that the facts alleged bomb threats against the Church of Scientology, a claim which resulted in her having to pay 19,000 USD.
Scientology as a religion has been helped by the endorsement of major Hollywood stars like Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Cruise, a role model for so many years, was awarded the Medal of Valor Liberty International Association of Scientologists a feat not many have managed to accomplish. What does this mean for advocates? Cruise has a massive following and is a deployment model to thousands of people around the world. By associating one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, Scientologists have succeeded to pull the meat "raw" public in general. Cruise does not receive any royalties? This inevitably remains unanswered.
One fact remains: Scientology is more science fiction than fact. The ideas outlined in Hubbard's book certainly present interesting views on how we live our lives, but they have barely any validity or integrity as other self help books like The driven M Scott Peck Road Less or James Redfield's The Celestine Prophecy.
