Pink Quilting

Can I wash my quilt colored cover without worrying about losing their color?
I have the duvet / pink colored cover version IKEA http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/40107631 It's very bright and colorful, and I'm afraid if I wash it, the colors will bleed and become dull. Does anyone have suggestions to wash my duvet without losing its luster?
Definitely wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and with a detergent specifically designed to preserve the colors. Tide is one called Blue and there are others too. It should be good if you take precautions! Good luck!
