Why so many Baby Girl clothes pink or purple?

My wife is having another baby and we went shopping for baby clothes yesterday. It seems that the only thing they were either pink or purple. There was some yellow and almost no vegetables. Blue and red and oranges were needed to be found. Most every thing that was blue, red or orange was a reference to be a "Lil Slugger "or" Prince "on it.

It's boring, is not it? Babywear have become so stereotyped sex it's also almost impossible to find clothes for boys who do not have a sports theme. When my parents were infants, He was not at all uncommon for parents to dress their boys in frilly dresses. In fact, I have a picture of my father wore. I two daughters and people often mistook them for boys, no matter what they wore. Apparently, people think that babies that look small and girls are tricky, especially if they have curly hair, while those that look great and are tough boys. My two daughters were robust and had straight hair.
