Sewing machines in metal instead of plastic? (post 80's)?
What modern sewing machines are manufactured in rugged metal? I''m replacing my old Singer machine that I had always been, so I just trusted metal body more than plastic and prefer to purchase more modern, perhaps new machine. Suggestions? I like Bernina, Pfaff and Viking!
The gears and others are metal and they all plastics. Think "space age". This is not the same as Tupperware. Many things are made high quality "plastic". If you have a younger car, see the grill and bumper for a start. Visit Bernina, Viking and Pfaff dealers and try sewing machines. New machines are guaranteed regardless of the brand. As long as you do not use the machine for shot put, he held on longer or more than your old Singer.
