Machine Needle
How can I remove a stuck needle from my Sewing Machine?

I have to change the needle on my brother XR-65 and it will come out not. I followed the instructions in my manual and loosen the screw needle but the needle does not exit. I tried to use pliers, but do not want to damage my machine. Is there something I can do? I do not know if this is related to the problem, but I have also been unable to get the machine to use any other point in more than one point right recently.

The two problems are probably not related. Very probably. Anyway, to get the needle, you can use a little oil, just a little. Make sure the camera is disconnected, just to be safe. If you do not have a regular sewing machine oil or all of any domestic oil use – as you would a door hinge or a bicycle chain – you can use WD40 or something like that. Give just a little squirt on the part where the needle is blocked. Let set for several minutes. Then, use your forceps again. You may as well dust and oil in the rest of the machine (read the owner's manual to see where the oil goes, if you do not know) while you're waiting. As to right only problem, if oil does not help, contact a repair shop. If your machine has a sequence that you must follow to change any law other stitches, make sure you follow the correct sequence. (I had one once he was composing a set of 3 before dialing B could be set to select a new stitch. The friends who borrowed regularly told that points would not change because they had not listened well enough to remember when I told them how.)
