Dress Size
In clothing, dress size refers to a set of standard sizes for dresses and Other women's clothing such as tops, skirts and pants.
<A href = " http://www.himfr.com/buy-mongolian_spots/ "> Mongolian spots </ a> Every person has unique body measurements unique habits of movement and ideas of clothing, for example, placement and shape of the neck, waist and hem. Therefore, each coat should (ideally) be designed and implemented for each user by a dressmaker, who is the dress for measurements of the carrier with an appropriate amount of ease. The dresses were made in this way until the end of the 19th century.
However, the industrial revolution brought mass production of clothing in standard sizes, known as ready-to-wear. Standard sizes are also used earlier in the design of uniforms, particularly for the armed forces of different countries. These standard sizes are allegedly arrived at a statistical analysis of a large number of people. Dress sizes are included in the European standard EN 13402.
In the U.S. there are two standards: the size of U.S. standard clothing and another produced by the American Society for Testing and Materials.
ISO 3635 describes the size designation of clothes – Definitions and methods of body measurement, used in the international market.
The classification of body measurements in standard sizes has been useful to industrialize the manufacture of clothing. However, the current system not ideal, because a significant fraction of women do not correspond to one of 20 popular sizes. In addition, many styles of dress are not made for all standard sizes (see size small). Unfortunately, more sizes and styles longer manufactures seem unlikely, because they were likely to mitigate economies of scale in mass production.
These standard sizes to describe combinations of body measurements that are commonly observed in the general population.
torso horizontal measures that can be shown include the circumference of neck, shoulder width, circumference of more than recession, bust circumference, the bust-point separation, the underbust girth (chest) the natural waist, hip circumference and lower the top of the hip circumference.
measures torso vertical that can be shown include the back (neck-size) in length, size, shoulder length (not the same as the length of the back, due to the slope of the shoulder), shoulder-length Bust, bust-length size, both length and hip size.
Handle measures that can be shown include the under-arm and arm lengths over the length of forearm, wrist circumference and the circumference of the biceps.
However, because of the ease and drapery fabric, relatively few measures are necessary to obtain a well-fitting dress in most styles.
The standard sizes do not have stable names, however. For example, the dimensions of two size 10 dresses from different companies, or even the same company, may have dimensions significantly, and both are almost certainly larger than the size 10 dimensions described in the standard of the United States. Vanity sizing may be partly responsible for this gap (which began in earnest in the 1980s).
The new European standard EN 13402 is to address this problem, since it is an absolute scale, compulsory, there is no mandatory standard size clothes U.S.
