Brother Babylock
Top brands of the line Sewing Machine …?

what are the machines most high end sewing, Overlock, embroidary and machine embroidary a machine that lets you design the design on the screen. i am in 8th grade and want to be a fashion designer. I looked Babylock, Brother and Pfaff. no singer for me, ewe. It seems that since brother is sold in stores like forever its kinda cheap, so I do not know about this but I found this demo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsVEAMjsJFk Is it better to have a sewing machine, and Seger embroidary machine or a sewing / Embroidary machine and serger? for fashion school? Baby Lock is the best or is Pfaff or brother. I want a fancy looking machine, all 3 brands are fancy looking at me i love all 3 looks. my B day is coming ..

I agree with what Donya said, except that I never had a Bernina. If you search the Internet for customer reviews, you can see what experiences others have had with various machines. A really good site is patternreview.com where you can find tons of reviews. I read good things about Kenmore on this site. Do not think you should get all the stuff of fantasy, just like a reliable machine Kenmore, Viking, Pfaff, Janome. I think it would be important to develop your skills in construction, design, drape, adjustment, so as to know how to use all the bells and whistles on a machine invented (as the points of decorative hearts and flowers, etc..) It does not take a fancy machine for a designer to express his creative talent. Make sure that a lot of different feet available for the machine so that you can learn the various techniques that are very difficult without the special foot. Definitely do not get into any embroidery machines. Babylock Overlock are good that I have heard, but again, you do not really have one to start learning the design and construction. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
